UK: Guardian partners with Pluck

Pluck and Guardian News and Media have announced a new partnership. The Guardian has selected Pluck’s SiteLife Social Media Platform to enhance its community services and reader interaction.

SiteLife provides the tools for users to submit blogs, photos, videos, comments, reviews, ratings and more, destined to be used by media outlets. In effect, it provides a ready-to-use solution for newspapers to further their user-generated offerings.

Says Tom Turcan, Guardian’s General Manager, Digital: “Selecting and working in partnership with Pluck is another major step in our strategy to extend the Guardian’s industry-leading web presence.  We are building a more broadly-based, global web service for people to read, discuss and interact with the Guardian’s independent and progressive journalism.”

SiteLife is already used by a few mainstream publishers, including The Washington Post, Reuters and The Economist.
