The London Times is packaging a free download of Michael Gill’s 1964 short film ¨The Peaches¨ with its online Cannes Film Festival coverage— a first for The Times and the result of an agreement with the British Film Institute.
Times' reports show 3,500 downloads in the first day, according to PaidContent.org. The British entry in the 1964 festival, the film stars Juliet Harmer and features narration by Peter Ustinov as well as a cameo by now-Sunday Times restaurant and TV critic AA Gill.
