UK: Telegraph ends PM PDF version

The Daily Telegraph has ended its Telegraph PM edition, a daily printable PDF version.

Telegraph PM was launched in September 2006. The PM version was published at 4pm Monday through Friday, with an updated edition at 5:30pm. It seems that despite its close-to-nil cost, the service hadn’t drawn enough users.

"No one has lost their job as it was simply part of the daily production cycle," a spokeswoman said.

"In essence all the information available in Telegraph PM is all available online at telegraph.co.uk, which is where we have channeled much of our resource."

Telegraph PM will still be produced occasionally on a big news days.

PDF versions, though they were once a popular idea among newspapers, have rarely proven to be successful.
