US: Gannett launches single website for 85 newspapers

Gannett has announced that it will begin rolling out a single website, ContentOne, for all of its 85 newspapers beginning tomorrow, according to journalism.co.uk. In December, Gannett had announced its initial plans for ContentOne.
According to Gannett Blog, most of the content will be generated by USA Today and individual local newspapers will add the website to their own.

The site aims to attract national and local advertising and increase newspaper sales by turning over "traditional thinking about content in our industry, both in
how we gather it and how we sell it," according to Gannett president, Craig Dubow.
