AfricaNews.com announced the launch of its mobile news website. According to Bizcommunity, this makes "the company one of the few African media outlets to both source and publish content via mobile devices" and the only one that is dedicated to "broad news in Africa."

AfricaNews.com is tapping into the huge growth of the mobile market in Africa over the last few years. The news outlet has over 400 reporters working in 35 African countries.
