US: Huffington Post to launch San Francisco edition

According to reports, Arianna Huffington is planning to launch a San Francisco edition of the Internet newspaper, the Huffington Post.
The site received a $25 million investment from Oak Investment Partners and plans to use to money towards developing "more video, more citizen journalism initiatives....and a fund for investigative journalism."

Oak Investment general partner, Fred Harman explains why the company chose to invest in the site,"The Huffington Post benefits from a strong brand ... and an approach to content that leverages other news and blogger feeds in a manner traditional media players have not."
