US: Obama to post weekly addresses on YouTube

After an Internet-centric campaign, Barack Obama is now turning to YouTube in order to post weekly videos of his presidential radio address.
According to the Guardian, the video address will also be posted on his transition website, www.change.gov. His reasons for this are to make the government more transparent and to modernize.

According to Obama's transition team, "this is just one of many ways
that President-elect Obama will communicate directly with the American
people and make the White House and the political process more
transparent."
Steve Grove, YouTube's head of news and politics expects Obama's administration to launch a White House YouTube channel very soon.
