US: Launch of BreakingNews.com

PV Media Group has launched a news aggregation website, BreakingNews.com in partnership with the wire service Breaking News Network Inc.
The group is an online marketing company that is headed by Steve Rosenberg, former Universal TV executive.

In addition to aggregating breaking news, the site aims to "build up a network of contributors," according to Variety. It has already partnered with Northwestern University, whose journalism students will provide ancillary video and audio podcast content for the new site.
