The World Internet report by the Centre for the Digital Future is reporting that fewer American youth have access to the Internet than those in the Czech Republic, Canada, Macao and Britain.
The 13-country survey among 12 to 14 year olds showed that 100% of British youth use the Internet, with Israel at 98%. Only 88% of Americans age 12 to 14 have access, followed by Hungary and Singapore.
Mobile phone access to the Internet is increasing outside of the US, particularly in Southeast Asia, according to a separate bulletin by a software company.
