UK: Times Online to co-produce video content with Sky News

News Corp. companies Sky News and Times Online have partnered in a content-sharing deal to co-produce videos set to appear on both websites, Press Gazette is reporting.
The deal will see Times Online articles include "co-branded video" produced by staff from Sky News and editorial staff from the Times. Some videos will also appear on skynews.com.

Videos will "mix analysis" from Times and Sky News commentators, and focus on business, local and foreign news.
The deal is "an excellent opportunity to showcase Sky News to Times Onlines's growing audience," said John Ryley, head of Sky News. Times Online's publisher claims that the site has been profitable since 2002 and gaining visitors each month, according to Press Gazette.
This news follows a redesign of the Times Online website in February 2007 to include more video content and "an increased focus on readers' comments."
Ryley sees a "strong potential for expansion" of the partnership between Sky News and Times Online.
