US: Washington Post Co. acquires Foreign Policy magazine

In light of its recent launch of Web-based political news section, the Washington Post Co. announces that it has acquired Foreign Policy magazine to "expand" the company's online journalism, said CEO Donald Graham.
Foreign Policy, which is published in eight languages, will be included
as a bimonthly print magazine. Its circulation is 100,000 copies while
its monthly unique visitors amount to 80,000 to 130,000 in 2008.
According to a Foreign Policy spokesperson, its total online traffic this year was 4,762,481 unique visitors, with 3,197,317 visitors to the foreignpolicy.com and 1,565,164 visitors to the FP Passport blog.
The publication features content focusing on global economics and politics, which is written by reporters and "foreign policy practitioners," writes Forbes.com.
