stickam.pngCitizen journalism may receive a boost as prominent interactive video streaming website Stickam.com reports the launch of Stickam Mobile. The service will allow users to upload live video to Stickam players though mobile devices, to see the number of live viewers at a given moment as well as get a glimpse of chat room content on their mobile phone screens.
Mobile video streams will have a separate Stickam.com section. Stickam Mobile will be available on Nokia N95 and Nokia S60 models, but the firm intends to release an iPhone-compatible version in the future.

Stickam.com sees over 40,000 live views per hour of broadcasting. The site has nearly 2 million registered users, about 2.5 million unique visitors per month and around 4.8 million page views per day. In addition, an embedding code is offered to users wishing to display the Stickam player on blogs and social networks such as Facebook or Myspace.
