UK: Telegraph launches Google Android application

Telegraph Media Group has launched an application specifically for the Google Android phone. According to Journalism.co.uk, they are the first publishers in the UK to do so.
The new application was launched by Telegraph Labs, which was launched in May in order to develop new products for the TMG.

The application can be downloaded wirelessly and free of charge from the Android Marketplace.
According to Paul Cheesbrough, chief information officer at TMG, "Mobile is a key part of our ongoing strategy to make Telegraph content available to all our customers wherever they are, whenever they want it. We aim to be available on as many platforms as possible so that all our customers can access our content on their devices."
