Australian sponsorship firm The Newspaper Works, established by the country's five major newspaper publishers, announces the launch of a website in order to promote print publications, reports proprint.com.au. The site is geared towards advertisers, media outlets and creative firms.
Thenewspaperworks.com.au includes information about ad campaigns, ad case studies, newspaper studies, sales research and a title locator with data about nearly 70 mastheads that features ad rates. According to proprint.com.au, its goals are to "promote newspapers as a powerful and influential medium for advertisers" and "reposition newspapers and the newspaper industry so that they are perceived to be modern and relevant in a transforming media landscape".

The company was founded in September 2006 by News Limited, Fairfax Media, Rural Press, APN and West Australian Newspapers.
