The Associated Press announced that it plans to offer its members free access to news and information about the digital transformation of the media from Outsell Inc. Outsell, based in California, tracks news and developments in order to provide clear information on web site traffic and online advertising. Outsell will provide quarterly reports and continuous news and analysis.
Jim Kennedy, vice president and director of strategic planning for AP believes this is an increasing importance to "share critical market research with members" in order to drive innovation.
The idea is to help AP create new revenue opportunities by expanding coverage in key target areas that offer growth potential, including the creation of new products and services that will better meet the needs of today's media consumers.
