Russia: 28% of total Internet usage is through mobile access

Around seven million Russians access the web from their mobile phones at least once a month, making up over 28% of the total monthly Web audience, according to a study by market research firm TNS. In Russia alone, Internet users add up to nearly 25 million.
Users who use their mobile phones to access the Web each day make up 15% of the total daily Internet users.
A separate study conducted earlier showed the total number of Russian Internet users each month was 30 million, with only 9% of them accessing the Web through their mobile phones.
The TNS study was conducted in June 2008 and was done across 77 towns with a total of 17,000 respondents.
