The French have increased their media consumption, according to a study by Médiamétrie. Since two years ago, Internet consumption and mobile technology use has increased significantly, reported ZDNet.fr.

On an average day, nine out of ten people watch TV, eight out of ten listen to the radio and nearly 80% of people read a paper.

In February 2008, Internet consumption grew to 41% of the population, compared to 28.1% in 2006. Mobile platforms like mobile phones or video games increased from 47.6% to 60% since two years ago.

The study also showed that out of 100 media outlets, 9 are devoted to online content, compared to 7,9 in 2006.
