nyt_photowebsite.jpgThe Polling Place Photo Project from The New York Times is "a nationwide experiment in citizen journalism that encourages voters to capture, post and share photographs of this year's primaries, caucuses and general election. By documenting local voting experiences, participants can contribute to an archive of photographs that captures the richness and complexity of voting in America."

The New York Times had experimented with user-generated content on their website before, its first being "How We Met," which asked couples to submit footage of their relationship.  The Polling Place Photo Project is among the Times' first attempts to include user-generated content in the news process.
