Nokia expands mobile ad network

Nokia, the Finnish mobile handset giant, is set to expand its Nokia Media Network in a move to become of the largest mobile advertising networks.
Nokia Media Network, which places ads on publisher’s mobile web pages, previously served parts of Europe and Asia will now spread globally, moving to North and South America, as well as other areas of Europe and Asia formerly outside the network.
"The point of the network is to give a uniform ad unit and ability to purchase and track campaigns on a worldwide basis," said Mike Baker, VP and head of Nokia Interactive.
Hearst, Reuters, and Sprint are among the companies that have moved to Nokia’s network.
