France: Les Echos launches mobile edition, compatible with Sony PSP
Readers can access news and stock exchange information by going to http://www.m.lesechos.fr, whether they are subscribers or not. As for the website, some articles of the mobile edition are restricted to subscribers.
The site’s pages automatically fit the mobile device’s screen, and users can share articles through email.
According to Business Mobile, mobile navigation has been made convenient, as readers can easily return to the homepage, select a specific section of the paper to browse, see most recent articles, or even search for articles by a company’s name.
Searches are still limited to the edition of the day.
Les Echos has chosen to combine a mobile and e-paper strategy, as the business daily was among the early publications to offer an e-Reader and e-paper edition, launched last year.
