Reuters revamps mobile site, hands Nokia ad business contract

Posted by Cyril Gros on December 7, 2007 at 12:18 PM
Reuters had passed new contracts with advertisement companies to enhance the content of its mobile site.

Nokia advertisement and sales departments, Ad Business, has been given Reuters’ UK ad sales contracts. That makes Nokia the main Reuters’ partner in its mobile site news layout.

Nokia has also signed several launch advertisers, including IBM, Lexus and Sony

Reuters offers a second life to its mobile site, whose success is based on a recently developed in-house platform that helps to better integrate the mobile site and the web site. Using that innovation, MasterCard will soon launch advertising spots available around Reuters’ mobile video downloads.

According to Illico Elia, Reuters’ mobile products manager, usage is growing and the company will continue to focus on attracting more and more users.
