France 24, an international news network based in France, backed by France’s leading commercial broadcasters, has made a worldwide deal with Nokia to offer an on-demand mobile service. The service will be available in French, English or Arabic.

France 24 has also launched a user generated content site, allowing users to post news videos, text or photos. The observers.france24.com portal is being launched to help broaden France 24’s global news coverage.

As a commemoration to its first year of existence, France 24 will broadcast 24 hours of programs in Arabic. This project is meant to strengthen the presence of the channel in the Middle East, where others news channels have settled recently.
