US: Republican Party holds YouTube debate
Posted by Evan Fell on November 29, 2007 at 11:11 AM
US Republican presidential candidates held a YouTube debate much like the one held by the Democratic Party in July. Eight candidates answered questions from people using YouTube that were broadcast to CNN.
The candidates answered questions on abortion, gun control, gays in the military, and God. The debate was held just 35 days before the first votes in the nominating races will be cast.
Mitt Romney and current leader in the national polls, Giuliani, clashed on the issue of illegal immigration, an issue that, as a result of the YouTube debate, appears to be very important to Republican voters.
