US: LA Times covers wildfires the blog way

Posted by Jean Yves Chainon on October 25, 2007 at 10:21 AM
Yet another example of how blogs and new media are changing newspaper reports: the Los Angeles Times has chosen to cover the widespread California wildfires in blog fashion, with regularly updated brief dispatches featured at the top of its homepage.

A box at the top of the homepage features links to brief entries from many of its reporters, as well as a fire-related picture slideshow.

Figures for destroyed homes and burnt acres are also displayed and updated.

Take a look at the LA Times’ coverage here.
