US: NY Post signs on Roo for video

Posted by Jean Yves Chainon on September 19, 2007 at 12:15 PM
The New York Post is adding online video and advertising to its website, after signing an agreement with Roo.

The Post will now be able to, not only produce its own video content, but also use Roo’s content library and platform, designed to support ads.

"There is a great demand for video not only from readers but from advertisers, and Roo will meet those desires," said Chris Shaw, vice-president of digital media at the New York Post.

Roo already has agreements with other News Corp.-owned newspaper websites, including The Times of London, The Sun and The Australian News.

Mirror Group Newspapers also have a partnership agreement with Roo.
