Major media companies and bloggers will now be able to find images from Getty Images Inc., Zuma Press, and Jupitermedia through Internet content syndication marketplace company Mochila.  “We’ve created a level playing field, where new and traditional media can all be together,” said Mochila chief executive, Keith McAllister of the licensing deals.

For a fee or on an advertising-supported basis, editors and independent websites can access the wealth of image content available through Mochila’s content marketplace.  “Mochila is a one-stop shop for content,” said McAllister, “It’s the world’s best content for free.”

Mochila’s network currently includes companies such as The Associated Press, The Financial Times, and New York magazine, but bloggers seeking legitimate content for their sites still comprise the largest part of the customer base. By subscribing to Mochila, editors and independent website owners can safely use image content from the photo agencies without worrying about the copyright issues that tend to plague new media.
