New newsroom positions, print and digital

Two new newsroom jobs worth mentioning were created this week, and not just on the new media side of things.

Editor & Publisher reports that the Boston Globe has created a slot for a managing editor in charge of front-page enterprise. The position is described as "charged with continually developing distinctive news stories that have journalistic depth and impact."

At journalism.co.uk, we learned that the BBC has opened up a controller of mobile post, mobile being a medium in which many media companies are investing. The inheritor of this job will head up the Beeb's public service presence on mobile platforms.
