Posted by Jean Yves Chainon on February 23, 2007 at 9:53 AM
The Wall Street Journal launched an online version for mobile devices, in partnership with Mdog.com. The service will be available to the website’s 800,000 or so subscribers.

Subscribers can access the mobile version by entering the website’s name on their mobile’s browser. Users can receive email alerts with links to mobile-friendly articles. Mobile podcasts are also available with regularly updated news and commentary.

Non-subscribers can also access the unrestricted parts of the website.

Publisher of the Wall Street Journal Dow Jones hopes to gain some extra revenue and also provide a valuable service for many of its subscribers who are on the go.
