US: NYT goes mobile

Posted by John Burke on September 8, 2006 at 5:14 PM

The New York Times has launched a site for readers to download news from nytimes.com to their portable phones and PDA devices. The service is not provider-specific meaning that anyone with a Web data plan through mobile devices will be able to access information.

"The paper acted admirably when it could have just been stubborn in the face of right-wing criticism."

Right-wing criticism? Since when is outing a terrorist supporter a right-wing endeavor? Since when is outing someone who calls terrorists "sassy" a right-wing endeavor?

The facts a re quite simple, folks. The Guardian hired (probably knowingly) a man connected to a radical Muslim group and failed to mention that when opining on the London terrorist bombings.

The irony is that a Guardian employee died in those vicious attacks being written about by a man who wants to extend the Muslim caliphate worldwide. Pathetic.
