Singapore: Media company to undergo regional, online expansion

Southeast Asia’s largest media group, Singapore Press Holdings, will strive to increase its online presence, develop new print products and expand its regional magazine and outdoor-advertising businesses, chairman Tony Tan announced Saturday.

To accomplish the large-scale expansion, Tan plans to invest in regional ventures and attract younger readers with an "exciting interactive environment" built across print, mobile and online platforms. He described convergence as the “fundamental change which SPH must cope with if we are to continue to succeed as a media company.”

The print company operates mainly in Singapore, publishing 14 magazines circulated within the country. It also distributes more than 80 magazines regionally.
