Syndicating content cuts costs and can offer huge brand exposure, said Pana Janviroj of The Nation (Thailand), and Hervé Deguine of Michelin Guides, at the 14th World Editors Forum today.
Janviroj explained that The Nation is a founding member of Asia News Network, which has 16 member newspapers in 14 countries. This brought experience in newspaper cooperation to the partnership.

Michelin’s experience in diversification, since in 1900 it began producing maps and guides to support its tyre brand, also lent important knowledge. Michelin now offers travel content to papers like The Nation in return for brand visibility.

“In the future, more newspapers will syndicate their content to lower cost”, said Janviroj.
