Teetering on the brink of getting foursquare? Well, guess who just took the plunge: none other than the president of the U.S.A. himself, Barack Obama. This just one of the multiple ways you can follow the President, in addition the White House Blog, on Twitter and Facebook.

Omani journalists are facing prosecution, as the public prosecutor called for their arrest, claiming they did not have the correct permit to work as journalists, that information published in their daily paper was defamatory and insulting to the Justice Minister. Reporters Without Borders has written to the Omani Sultan, expressing "deep concern" about their trial.

UK Prime Minister David Cameron has mooted the idea that those who incite violence on line should be banned from social networks. Does this crush freedom or expression, or is it a reasonable response to the recent rioting? Deutsche Weller examines the situation.
