The Birmingham Post relaunched Monday, October 20, as a tabloid-sized, business focused newspaper. The Post and sister papers, Birmingham Mail and Sunday Mercury are making 65 editorial staff cuts, moving into a new £7.5 million newsroom and will use a more streamlined, online-focused publishing system.
According to paidContent, the changes are designed to improve advertising revenue by connecting the brand across all platforms. The paper is also cutting its Saturday edition and plans to target the city's professionals, aged 25 to 44.
