In what is being seen as a deliberate snub by US Presidential hopeful Barrack Obama's camp, the New Yorker's Washington correspondent has been denied a press place on Obama's tour of the Middle East and Europe.

This action follows on from the New Yorker's publication of a cartoon that depicted the presidential candidate and his wife, Michelle, in a "terrorist" fist-bumping gesture.
Ryan Lizza would normally have been one of the 40 correspondents on the plane.
Media blogger Rachel Sklar wrote on the Huffington Post: "So it's gonna be like that, is it? Retribution for unfavourable coverage is a chilling thing to contemplate."
