The Boston Globe announced Monday plans to incorporate geotagging technology into its website, Boston.com.
The technology, to be provided by MetaCarta Inc., will tag Boston.com content according to geographic location, allowing users to "zero in on locations that matter to them," said Bob Kempf, vice president of product at Boston.com.
Users will be able to search for content geographically and create their own localized services.
