Kenya: The slap heard around the world

The first lady of Kenya, Lucy Kibabi slapped an official across the face in front of hundreds of guests and journalists on Wednesday.
Before the end of the master of ceremonies' speech, Lucy Kibabi, president Mwai Kibabi's wife, stood up, walked across the stage and slapped the official speaker. She couldn't stand the fact the unnamed official introduced her by the name of “Wambui” which is believed to be the name of president Kibabi's second wife.
Despite that the undiplomatic incident occurred in the presence of several journalists, no video media broke the news. In fact, there's not a single photo or YouTube video footage of the incident.
The explanation is the president's security agents gathered all the journalists, confiscated their cameras and forced them to erase all video footage of the scene.
"We think it's an abuse of power by the security officers. It happened in full view of the guests and we definitely had the right to be there and film it," Joseph Odindo, group managing editor of Kenya's Daily Nation newspaper said.
