London: Londonpaper is the favourite of young people

Posted by Elena Perotti on September 22, 2006 at 3:25 PM

News International, the publisher of Thelondopaper, claims its free paper appeals to more young people than the competitors Metro and the Evening Standard.

Ian Clark, head of News International Free Newspapers, revealed that a survey conducted by TNS showed that 49% of the readers of Thelondonpaper are young people under 35, whereas the figure is 39% for Metro and 22% for Evening Standard.

Regarding the lower distribution figure of Thelondonpaper compared to the data of London Lite, Clark explained that the reason is the availability of London Lite 3 hours before its competitor. He declared that the gap of about 20.000 copies is likely to be filled in the next couple of weeks.
