Israel: free paper losing money
Free newspaper HaYisraeli is allegedly losing heavily. Sources in the media market sustain that in the coming three years the paper will need investments for the same amount it cost to date, what would be about 30 million dollars.
Jewish billionaire Sheldon Adelson, shareholder by already 50%, announced that he will take over part of the original founder Shlomo Ben Tzvi's stake, who did not confirm the news.
On the contrary, sources close to Ben Tzvi's Hirsh Media claim that HaYisraeli will soon reach breakeven, and that the doubling of the initial foliation was caused by positive reactions among advertisers exceeding forecasts.
