Polish newspaper Nowy Dzien, launched by publisher Agora in November 2005 (see previous posting), is to cease being published. The last edition of the paper will be published on 23, February 2006. The decision to close down the relatively new paper was made because of its declining sales. The paper would have needed to reach a sales figure of 250 000 copies daily to be profitable. It is currently at under 200 000 copies and falling.
