Metro UK is set to launch a new website aimed at young urban professionals. The website will offer a "mix of news and lifestyle features." It will be updated four times daily, content will focus on news in the morning, games and quizzes at lunchtime, restaurant and bar reviews in the afternoon, and dating and gaming at night.
Doug Read, executive director of Metro, made the following statement about the new website: "The new site will work hand-in-hand with the newspaper and reflect its tone and style, with consistent, imaginative and creative linkage between the two"
The new site will provide Metro UK with new advertising opportunities.
