An international journalists' conference is set to be held under the theme of 'Peace and reconciliation of the Korean Peninsula' in February 2007 in Mount Kumgang in North Korea.
The event will be sponsored by the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ), The Journalists Association of Korean (JAK)and the Asian Journalists Association (AJA).
The President of the IFJ Christopher Warren said that the conference would be the first of its kind in the history of the organisation and that "It reflects the growing importance of the role and concern of global journalists for the peace and reunification of the Korean Peninsula."
