Craigslist founder working on new journalism project
He described the project on his blog with sparse words:
"I'm working with some folks on technologies that promise to help people find the most trusted versions of the more important stories... and this is personal, helping out another group not associated with craigslist. This kind of technology is intended to preserve the best of existing journalistic practices, and should help retain newsroom jobs."
Craig will be trying to connect his "wisdom of the masses" classified advertising approach to the news process where readers will become editors.
Craig is not trying to replace newspapers, but he is trying to help. He encouraged R & D in Oxford; "The faster that the newspaper industry develops new forms of delivery - flexible screens connected to your cell phone - the faster important jobs can be preserved."

“A DAY CREATION OF VIOLENCE PREVENTION CAMPAIGN/AWARENESS
IN ABIA STATE POLYTECHNIC CHAPTER, NIGERIA AND ITS COMMUNITIES”
By
Students Against Violence Everywhere (SAVE)
On
April 6, 2005
This year, the Abia State Polytechnic SAVE Chapter has been very busy in school and its communities. They have been involved with service projects and weekly meetings. Our SAVE Chapter was able to purchase Pen, Pencils, Ruler, and Exercise books which was sheared among some of the less privileged students in our school and also organized a crime prevention day where our members came up with their jokes, music and Drama, etc.
On the April 6, 2005, our SAVE Chapter was able to reach to the adolescent's young adult students, and shared with them hand-bills which contain information on causes, consequences and prevention of violence in our various schools and communities. On the handbills, it was described that some of the most common modes of violence in higher institutions (Colleges) worldwide involves gangs, joining of cults, etc.
Invitation forms where equally shared to other students and staff in order to join our chapter in campus. Members wore different kinds of cloths and attires just to attract/ draw the attention of other students and communities where we visited. Our Academic Advisor (Mr. Zayon Nzegbulam), Head of Security, Deputy Rector , Registrar, etc where all happy and smiling when we got to their various offices.
We need our fellow students all over Nigeria to join us in fighting against Violence here in Nigeria and outside and develop in their humanitarian work towards helping mankind, we can improve and achieve more only if we can be sponsored or funded by Individual, groups or Government.
