New technology to facilitate mobile phones as blog tools

Posted by John Burke on April 1, 2005 at 4:48 PM

SiliconValley.com reports that a new technology to be launched in April promises to turn cellular phones into mobile blogging tools. The new application , called “Rabble,” was created by the start up company Intercasting. The technology will facilitate the now-cumbersome process required to publish text or images from a cell phone. Rabble will also allow for searches through cell phones of mobile blogs for particular items of interest. Rabble will work with other popular blogging applications, including Blogger and Live Journal. Wireless phone carriers are expected to charge around $3 a month to access mobile blog posts.
