The new Toronto Sun will have a decidedly British look and feel, no surprise given the hiring of U.K. newspaper veteran Neil Fowler a year ago as publisher and CEO, and the hiring of British newspaper design guru Michael Crozier to steer the revamp of the 32-year-old Sun flagship (580,000 copies, 15% less than a year ago). Making the Toronto tabloid lighter and brighter, or as the publisher liked to say constantly, giving readers "value for time," could be said of the newspaper's commuter rival, Metro (380,000 copies).
