Thomson and Reuters set to merge in Q2

Thomson and Reuters should finalize their $17 billion merger early in the second quarter.
This is a slight delay compared to their October prediction, which projected the merger to take place within the first quarter.
Both the European Commission and the US Justice Department are to give their final clearance at about the same time, the latter having agreed to "more closely" align its review with that of the Commission.
The EC is to make its ruling by March 10.
