In a recent study by Nucleus Research and Knowledge Forms, 72% of those surveyed reported using traditional, mainstream media as their source for political news.
56% of the 383 survey respondents added that they found newspapers and magazines to be the most trustworthy sources of political information.
Only 19% of respondents used candidates’ websites, and 14% used political parties’ websites for information. Less than 5% of those surveyed cited YouTube as a source of information, though the video-sharing site has paired up with CNN to host a Democratic presidential debate.
