UK: Reuters using automated trading based on the news

Reuters has developed software to meta-tag the news and use it to drive automated trading based on real news and real headlines, not just market movements.
It also has an archive which allows analysis of market performance in relation to news stories, helping companies define and refine strategies based on headline driven market moves.
