US: Electronic film can be used for newspapers

E-Ink, the Massachusetts company responsible for the Sony E-Reader’s electronic film, has its sights set on the newspaper industry. The paper-like effect of the film could be used for highly readable electronic newspapers. “The newspaper is not going to go away. The physical book is not going to go away. But there are certain amounts of your day where you say, ‘Hey, this electronic book is very useful,’” said E-Ink’s senior marketing manager Darren Bischoff.
