U.N.: tribunal accuses journalist of interfering with war crime case
Freelance Croat journalist Domagoj Margetic was charged with contempt of court on Monday by a UN tribunal. Margetic had revealed on his personal website the names of two witnesses from the war crime case of General Tihomir Blaskic, involved in crimes against humanity in the former Yugoslavia.
The tribunal said in a statement that Margetic “undermines confidence in the tribunal's ability to grant effective protective measures”.
A former Croatian newspaper editor was fined last month e 20.000 by the same tribunal for revealing that Croatian President Stjepan Mesic had testified in the trial of Blaskic.
