Egypt: two issues of French Le Figaro and German Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung banned
Under a decree issued by Information Minister Anas el-Feki, September 19’s French Le Figaro and September 16’s German Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung are banned from the Egyptian soil. The decision was taken on the grounds that the papers published articles deemed offensive to Islam.
The edition of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung publishes an article by German historian Egon Flaig arguing that Islam has had a violent history, and that the Prophet Mohammad was a successful military leader.
September 19’s issue of Le Figaro contains an opinion article by French philosopher and high school teacher Robert Redeker. Among other similar statements Redeker writes: “Hatred and violence live in the book by which every Muslim is educated, the Koran".
"They published articles which disparaged Islam and claimed that the Islamic religion was spread by the sword and that the Prophet ... was the prophet of evil," declared Information Minister Anas el-Feki to the news agency MENA.

"On the contrary, the situation would worsen and we would see a civil war of great intensity for which the whole world would pay the price," Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Sabah told the French daily Le Figaro. This guy is wrong.Having the U.S pullout is the only smart thing to do.The french should be screaming bloody mad, demanding the U.S pullout. Most of western europe should be pissing on the american flag by now.Remember, that here in the west we no longer see france as a country. It's part of the euro union, no boarders and one currency. You are now just french people living in the country of europe. Here in the west we are easily adapting this idea that "you are all just a bunch of europeans living in the country of europe." Isn't this, what you tried to avoid fifty years ago. What's next, one language.? What will it be...English!...no no I've got it Windows XP
